The Party Committee of the Dong Nai Department of Health held a conference on the afternoon of July 24 to review Party-building activities during the first half of 2026 and outline key tasks for the remainder of the year.

According to Pham Thi Mai Huong, Deputy Director of the Department of Health and Standing Committee member of the Department's Party Committee, the Party organization currently has more than 3,100 members. During the first six months of 2026, the Party Committee led the health sector in effectively controlling infectious diseases, particularly dengue fever, hand, foot, and mouth disease, measles, and rabies. The sector also maintained key public health programs covering population health, HIV/AIDS prevention and control, tuberculosis control, and the Expanded Program on Immunization. Healthcare facilities continued to provide emergency care and medical services, meeting the public's healthcare needs.

The department also achieved notable progress in digital transformation, while continuing to advance administrative reform and strengthen food safety management. In addition, the Party Committee focused on upgrading healthcare infrastructure, promoting emulation and commendation initiatives, and improving the quality of the healthcare workforce. Party membership development remained a priority. During the first half of 2026, the department admitted 66 new Party members, achieving 146% of its annual target.
At the conference, leaders of affiliated units presented reports and discussed Party-building efforts, professional activities, and proposals to address challenges encountered during implementation.

Concluding the conference, Do Thi Nguyen, Secretary of the Department's Party Committee, Director of the Dong Nai Department of Health, said that during the second half of 2026, the Party Committee would focus on fulfilling the sector's key annual targets, including increasing the ratio of healthcare personnel to 10.6 doctors and 30.5 hospital beds per 10,000 residents. As of the end of June, the province had reached 10.3 doctors and 30.25 hospital beds per 10,000 residents.
The department will continue implementing electronic medical records, accelerate digital transformation across the healthcare system, and implement Politburo Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW on breakthrough measures to strengthen public health protection, care, and improvement.
One of the sector's top priorities is the continued rollout of the free periodic health screening program. The goal is for 100% of residents to receive at least one free health examination or screening by the end of 2026, with each individual having a lifetime electronic health record established.
At the same time, the health sector will formulate its 2026–2030 healthcare development plan, promote greater private-sector participation in healthcare investment, improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, ensure an adequate supply of medicines and medical equipment, and strengthen inspections of the pharmaceutical sector and food safety.
The Department of Health's Party Committee will also continue to prioritize Party building, expand Party membership, strengthen inspection and supervision, and develop a capable workforce to meet the demands of the new development period.
