Marquis Nguyen Huu Canh (1650–1700) was a distinguished general under Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu. In 1698, he was appointed by Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu to govern the Southern region. He organized land reclamation, established villages, and set up an administrative system, contributing to the assertion of sovereignty and promoting the development of the new land.
As part of this year's ceremony, the Organizing Board carried out a range of activities to introduce and promote the values of the national intangible cultural heritage of the death anniversary commemoration of Marquis Nguyen Huu Canh. They also displayed images and documents about the Marquis's life and career, and presented traditional rites such as trinh sanh, tien yet, and dan ca.

In addition, a hands-on activity in ceramic engraving and glazing was held in the area in front of the relic exhibition house to introduce the traditional Bien Hoa pottery craft and create a space for students, residents, and visitors to learn about local culture. The activity helps connect heritage preservation with traditional education while promoting local cultural values.

The memorial ceremony has been maintained through many generations in association with the Marquis Nguyen Huu Canh temple and tomb complex relic, reflecting the noble tradition of "when drinking water, remember its source" and "when eating fruit, remember the person who planted the tree." It is not only a spiritual and cultural practice for the community but also an opportunity for Dong Nai to promote the image of a land rich in tradition, contributing to the preservation and promotion of the distinctive values of a region with nearly 330 years of formation and development.
