The road linking Ma Da Bridge with Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 4, together with the Ma Da Bridge project, is of strategic importance to Dong Nai City's long-term spatial development strategy. Once completed, the projects will create a strategic transport corridor connecting the Northern and Southern parts of the city while establishing the shortest and fastest route from the Central Highlands to Dong Nai City, Long Thanh International Airport and the Cai Mep–Thi Vai deep-water port complex.

The corridor will open up new development space by improving connectivity between areas of Dong Nai and logistics centers, seaports and Long Thanh International Airport. It is also expected to link key growth poles, create fresh momentum for industrial, tourism and urban development, make more efficient use of land resources, attract investment and enhance Dong Nai City's competitiveness for decades to come.

Ho Van Ha added that construction of the road linking Ma Da Bridge with Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 4, together with the Ma Da Bridge Project, carries profound significance. The projects would implement the strategic development orientation set out by Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, helping shape a new development space for the Southeast region in line with the Politburo's conclusions.

He said that the projects would fulfill the long-standing aspirations of local people by restoring transport links and facilitating travel and trade between the former Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces, now the southern and northern parts of Dong Nai City. The projects also build on the vision of previous generations of leaders and deliver concrete outcomes based on agreements reached between the former Standing Boards of the Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provincial Party Committees on expanding regional development connectivity.
