The special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign launched by the Dong Nai City Party Committee’s Executive Board aims to create strong momentum across the entire political system, promoting the spirit of “Unity – Discipline – Efficiency – Breakthrough, building a civilized and modern Dong Nai.”

This presents an opportunity for Women’s Unions at all levels, as well as union members and women across the city, to demonstrate their sense of responsibility, contribute their intellect and efforts, and undertake practical activities for local development.

Advancing emulation campaign through practical projects and tasks

Le Thi Thanh Loan, Member of the Dong Nai City Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Women’s Union, said that in response to the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign, the Dong Nai Women’s Union has translated the campaign into the emulation movement “Dong Nai Women Promoting Wisdom, Responsibility, Creativity, Compassion, Green Living and Happiness.” The union has also widely implemented the model “Dong Nai Women Speak Good Words, Do Good Deeds, and Accompany Development.”

The union has identified key tasks, including raising awareness and enhancing the capacity of officials and union members, with a focus on digital skills, leadership, management and foreign languages to meet the city’s development requirements. It also emphasizes the responsibility, exemplary role and pioneering spirit among officials and members in fulfilling assigned tasks, particularly through innovating the content and methods of union activities to suit the new context and development requirements. At the same time, officials and union members are encouraged to promote dynamism and creativity; apply science, technology and digital transformation in study and production activities; and continue spreading the noble values of Vietnamese women through social welfare activities and support for women, children and disadvantaged people.

Based on these priorities, the Dong Nai Women’s Union has set out 12 specific targets. Among them, 100 percent of union officials are required to develop work plans aligned with their job responsibilities, clearly identify outputs, and complete assigned tasks on schedule while ensuring quality. All levels of the union will utilize digital data and digital signatures in management and administration. Each year, at least 95 percent of union officials will receive training in union work and digital skills; 20 percent will have initiatives or solutions to improve work performance; 90 percent will be rated as having successfully fulfilled their duties or higher. The “Listening to Women” Month initiative will be maintained alongside the “Listening to the People” Month initiative. All grassroots unions will implement the “Each Woman, a Beautiful Flower” activity and online women’s networking models; support 500 women’s livelihood projects to help them improve their lives; and establish community foreign language clubs in 30 communes and wards with industrial parks and industrial clusters.

The Dong Nai Women’s Union itself will develop at least one digital transformation application; organize at least one annual activity on lifelong learning, digital transformation, innovation, foreign languages, or women’s capacity enhancement; publish the e-handbook “Dong Nai Women Speak Good Words, Do Good Deeds” and the columns “A Good News Every Day” and “A Beautiful Story Every Week”; and establish advisory groups to accompany women in entrepreneurship.

Each official and union member takes at least one concrete action

To achieve the targets, Bui Thi Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Women’s Union, said that each official and union member should promote lifelong learning and improve professional qualifications and digital skills. Union officials should uphold responsibility, discipline and exemplary conduct; stay close to grassroots levels; and regard work effectiveness and union members’ satisfaction as key measures of performance. At the same time, they should spread compassion and solidarity, actively participate in social welfare activities, support women’s economic development and help them improve their lives. Efforts should also focus on promoting green lifestyles, environmental protection, waste classification, energy conservation and the building of bright, green, clean and beautiful residential areas. Building happy families and civilized communities, effectively implementing the “Building Families with Five No’s, Three Cleans and Three Safeties” campaign, and contributing to the preservation and promotion of the good values of Vietnamese families are also important tasks.

The special emulation campaign provides an opportunity for officials and union members to demonstrate responsibility, intellect and dedication to local development. Therefore, the Dong Nai Women’s Union’s Standing Board has called on each union official to register at least one specific task, initiative, or solution associated with assigned responsibilities. Each grassroots union is encouraged to select at least one practical project, task, or model for implementation. Union members are urged to actively respond to the campaign through concrete actions and good deeds within their families, communities and society, while encouraging relatives and the wider community to help fulfill the campaign’s objectives and targets, contributing to building Dong Nai into a more civilized, modern, sustainable and happy city.

Along with the specific targets, the Dong Nai Women’s Union has set a roadmap requiring all levels of the union to substantially complete the campaign’s targets and tasks by September 30, 2027.

Huynh Thi Truc Giang, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trang Dai ward and Chairwoman of the ward Women’s Union, said that in response to the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign, the ward Women’s Union will step up communications to raise awareness of the campaign’s significance among union members. The union will effectively implement the emulation movement “Dong Nai Women Promoting Wisdom, Responsibility, Creativity, Compassion, Green Living and Happiness”; enhance digital capacity; accelerate digital transformation and innovation; and expand the model “Dong Nai Women Speak Good Words, Do Good Deeds, and Accompany Development.” In addition to effectively carrying out projects and activities in response to the campaign, the union will focus on caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of women and children. The proactiveness, solidarity and determination of officials and union members will help achieve the special emulation campaign’s targets, contributing to the city’s overall development in the new period.
