On the evening of June 23, at the Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television’s Theater in Tam Hiep Ward, the Dong Nai Women’s Union organized an artistic program to celebrate the successof the 14th National Women's Congress for the 2026–2031 term. The event was held both in person and livestreamed on the Dong Nai City Women Fanpage.

At the program, Le Thi Thanh Loan, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Dong Nai City, and Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Women’s Union, presented a summary of the outcomes of the 14th National Women’s Congress.
The congress took place over two days, June 17–18, in Hanoi, with the participation of nearly 800 official delegates. Dong Nai City was represented by 18 delegates, who attended the congress with a serious and responsible spirit and made active contributions to the congress’s key decisions.
The congress set an overall goal through 2030 of inspiring innovation, creativity, knowledge, confidence and international integration among women from all walks of life. It also aims to build a Women’s Union capable of adapting to new circumstances, promoting national solidarity and advancing comprehensive gender equality. The congress envisions Vietnamese women as a driving force for development and a pillar of family happiness, while positioning the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) as a pioneering organization advocating gender equality and women’s advancement, contributing to the nation’s prosperity, civilization and happiness.
Delegates also reached broad consensus on the direction for the new term, including one emulation movement, three breakthrough priorities, 12 targets, 20 groups of solutions and five key tasks.

The congress elected the 14th VWUCentral Committee, consisting of 111 out of 127 members. At the first meeting of the VWU Central Committee, the committee elected 24 members to the Standing Committee of the VWU Central Committee. Le Thi Thuy, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the VFF Central Committee, was elected Chairwoman of the 14th VWU. Three Vice Chairwomen were also elected, including Tran Lan Phuong, Nguyen Thi Minh Huong and Nguyen Thi Thu Hien. The meeting additionally elected 11 members to the second Central Inspection Commission of the VWU.
Dong Nai City has one representative serving on the VWU Central Committee and one representative serving on the Central Inspection Commission of the VWU.

Speaking at the event, Chairwoman Le Thi Thanh Loan emphasized that in the new term, the Dong Nai Women’s Union will continue to innovate its activities in a practical, effective and grassroots-oriented manner, with women’s satisfaction, progress and happiness as its guiding objectives.
To ensure the congress resolution is promptly implemented, she called on Women’s Union organizations at all levels to uphold solidarity, intelligence, responsibility, creativity, compassion, green living and happiness. She encouraged Women’s Union officials to work professionally and effectively while maintaining close ties with members and local communities. She also urged union members and local women to actively pursue learning opportunities, enhance their skills, apply technology and confidently affirm their roles within their families and society. Grassroots Women’s Union chapters were encouraged to translate the congress resolution into practical projects and initiatives that contribute to building a civilized, modern and happy Dong Nai City.

On this occasion, the Dong Nai Women’s Union received VND220 million from Thanh Long Rubber Trading Co., Ltd. to support the construction of “Compassion Houses” for disadvantaged women. In addition, PNJ Jewelry Joint Stock Company donated 20 gift packages for unionmembers facing difficult circumstances. Participants also enjoyed a special artistic program featuring performances celebrating patriotism, love for the homeland, the noble values of Vietnamese women and the achievements of Dong Nai City. |
