On June 21, the closing ceremony of the National Press Festival 2026 was held at the Hai Phong Convention and Performance Center. The festival carried the theme “Vietnamese Journalism – Loyalty, Creativity and Responsibility in the New Era.”

The third National Press Festival featured 87 exhibition booths designed with a cohesive and modern style while maintaining a distinct cultural identity. The festival also included 11 working sessions, comprising a plenary session, a closing session, and in-depth discussion sessions. During these working sessions, experts, scientists, managers, and leaders of press agencies engaged in candid discussions on many pressing and topical issues facing contemporary journalism. The discussions also yielded valuable lessons and new perspectives for journalists in the digital era.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented 57 awards for Outstanding Exhibition Booths at the National Press Festival 2026, including 9 A Prizes, 13 B Prizes, 18 C Prizes, and 17 Consolation Prizes. Among the winners, the Emulation Cluster of Journalists’ Associations of the Southern Provinces and Cities, which includes the Dong Nai Journalists’ Association, received a C Prize.

In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded 6 A Prizes, 11 B Prizes, 17 C Prizes, and 12 Consolation Prizes for Outstanding Journalistic Products in the categories of newspaper covers, radio, television, print, online journalism, and outstanding press photography in 2026. Notably, Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television, under the Dong Nai Journalists’ Association, won an A Prize in the print journalism category for the three-part series “Steel Shield” Protecting the Fatherland’s Border by author Nguyet Ha from the Editorial Secretariat Department of Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television.
At the closing ceremony, the Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association also presented certificates of merit to 16 organizations in recognition of their outstanding professional achievements and contributions to the association’s development in 2025. Certificates recognizing companionship with the National Press Festival 2026 were also awarded to organizations, entrepreneurs, and businesses that contributed to the success of the event.
