At the meeting, Do Thi Nguyen, Director of the DoH, emphasized that building and completing electronic health records for citizens is a key task in the health sector’s digital transformation roadmap. Once updated, the data will be linked to the health sector’s database and integrated with the national database in accordance with the Ministry of Health’s directives, laying the foundation for electronic health records for every citizen.

To ensure progress, the DoH requested hospitals, medical centers, and relevant units to coordinate closely with the software provider during training, data standardization, and system deployment. Any difficulties or obstacles arising during the process must be promptly discussed and resolved to ensure uniform implementation across Dong Nai.

At the meeting, the software consulting firm introduced an electronic health record solution featuring a range of tools for long-term health data management. The system integrates artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze and summarize medical examination results, helping doctors access information more quickly during examination and treatment. The firm also committed to supporting the DoH throughout the implementation of the public health screening campaign at commune- and ward-level health stations and medical centers.

Under the plan, Dong Nai will hold a launch ceremony for the public health screening campaign in July. Following the launch, medical units will simultaneously conduct health screenings for residents in accordance with the assigned plan. The DoH will develop a detailed plan, allocate specific targets to each unit, and mobilize both public and private healthcare providers to ensure the campaign is implemented uniformly and effectively.

Leaders of the DoH called on hospitals to actively coordinate and join hands with the health sector to successfully carry out the free public health screening campaign, thereby improving healthcare quality, managing residents' health through electronic health records, and promoting digital transformation in healthcare.
