Dong Nai is home to 28 tourist attractions and destinations, along with more than 1,700 inventoried heritage sites, including over 200 sites recognized as Special National Relics, National Relics, and Municipal Relics. These destinations attract both domestic and international visitors. To increase tourist arrivals at these attractions and heritage sites, Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio-Television (DNNRTV) has intensified tourism-related communications, contributing to the dynamic development of Dong Nai’s tourism market.

Diverse tourism media content

Through a wide range of communication channels and digital platforms, including Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, DNNRTV has become one of the most comprehensive information hubs covering various aspects of Dong Nai City. Following numerous upgrades and innovations, its print newspaper, online newspaper, radio, and television platforms are now regarded as among the leading local media organizations in the country for both the quality and quantity of their news content.

Tourism has received particular attention through dedicated sections and specialized content. The Tourism & Cuisine pages on both print and digital platforms regularly feature articles, photo series, and news updates showcasing attractive travel experiences and destinations. These sections have gained significant readership and are continuously updated with the latest tourism-related content.

Through the Discover Dong Nai section on the online edition of Dong Nai Newspaper, readers can explore not only tourism destinations and local cuisine but also obtain information about all 95 wards and communes across the city. This enables readers to better understand the geographical, economic, and cultural characteristics of each locality and helps them identify destinations of interest before planning their visits.

In addition to print and online newspapers, DNNRTV’s radio and television channels also produce numerous engaging tourism programs. Information on tourism activities throughout the city is regularly featured in major news broadcasts, while destination showcases, travel documentaries, and tourism product features are aired frequently.

Beyond regular news coverage, DNNRTV has developed specialized programs such as Dong Nai Tourism and tourism-themed talk shows, broadcast weekly or monthly with diverse content and vivid visuals that attract considerable audience interest.

Le Son, a regular reader from Tran Bien Ward, shared: “I often read articles from Dong Nai Newspaper that are shared on its Facebook page. Besides socio-economic news, I am particularly interested in local tourism, sports, and entertainment content. The information provided by Dong Nai Newspaper helps me quickly and accurately learn about tourism events and destinations throughout the city. I especially appreciate articles about eco-tourism sites, orchards, forests, and lakes, which help my family prepare for our summer and holiday travel plans.”

The press continues to accompany the tourism industry

Le Thuy, an editor in the News Department of Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television with many years as a reporter covering tourism, said that witnessing the transformation and development of the local tourism industry has been particularly rewarding. According to her, the increasing professionalism of tourism products and destinations, especially in agricultural and rural tourism, has contributed significantly to the diverse and colorful landscape of Dong Nai tourism.

Speaking about her work, Le Thuy said: “For me, each feature story is a fresh journey of discovery into Dong Nai’s nature, people, and culture. In every assignment, I always try to create high-quality, information-rich pieces of tourism journalism that help more people learn about Dong Nai, with its wonderful places to visit, explore, and experience, especially during fruit season. I am very happy to have the opportunity to work and make small contributions to communication and promotion efforts that bring Dong Nai's image to viewers, listeners, and readers nationwide. I hope that in the time ahead, Dong Nai's tourism industry will have even more connection-building and tourism stimulus programs; at the same time, it will establish an effective tourism communication group to strengthen coordination, promptly keep abreast of tourism events and information, and create a strong ripple effect in the community.”

Assessing the contributions of the press to tourism promotion in recent years, Le Thi Ngoc Loan, Member of the City Party Committee and Director of the Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, emphasized that journalism has played a crucial role in promoting Dong Nai’s tourism potential, as well as its people, culture, and landscapes, to both domestic and international visitors.

At the forum “The Role of Journalism in Promoting Vietnam’s Tourism Economy in 2026”, held in Quang Tri Province in May 2026, Ho An Phong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated: “For tourism, the press serves as a ‘soft bridge’ connecting destinations with visitors, cultural values with markets, and a nation’s image with the international community.”

Through high-quality journalistic works, many of Dong Nai’s renowned destinations, cultural events, sports activities, and tourism programs have been effectively promoted across various media platforms, helping build and strengthen the Dong Nai tourism brand. These achievements reflect the continuous efforts of media agencies, particularly Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television, to innovate in content and presentation formats, and to develop specialized pages, feature stories, documentaries, and talk shows that showcase local cultural, historical, and tourism values to domestic and international audiences. In particular, the expansion of communication efforts across digital platforms has significantly broadened outreach, bringing Dong Nai's image closer to the public than ever before.

Looking ahead, Director Le Thi Ngoc Loan expressed her expectations: “The Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes that the media will continue to work closely with the department, local authorities, and tourism destinations to promote tourism products and investment opportunities. We especially encourage further development of digital communication and modern multimedia journalism products that can tell compelling stories about Dong Nai tourism. These efforts will contribute to realizing our goal of making tourism a key economic sector and an important driver of Dong Nai’s socio-economic development.”
