On the morning of May 24, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (Youth Union) of the Dong Nai City Military Command launched Green Sunday campaign to celebrate the establishment of Dong Nai City, the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the city's Armed Forces (May 15), and the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19).
During the event, officers and Youth Union members of the Dong Nai Military Command collaborated with the Tan Trieu ward Youth Union to clean up the area surrounding the command's barracks. They cleaned up, removed illegal flyers and advertisements, collected garbage, and pruned flowers and ornamental plants along Nguyen Ai Quoc Street in front of the command's headquarters, the intersection of Nguyen Ai Quoc and Luong Van Nho streets in Tan Trieu ward, and the area around the command’s Gate B.

Senior Lieutenant Vu Manh Dung, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Staff Department under the Dong Nai Military Command – one of the key units participating in the Green Sunday campaign – said that the practical activities of Green Sunday campaign aim to promote the volunteer movement for the community. This is particularly meaningful for officers and soldiers of the city's armed forces on the occasion of major holidays and the celebration of the establishment of Dong Nai City.
"This meaningful activity continues to encourage and attract officers and soldiers to actively participate in social welfare and environmental protection activities, thereby building a close bond of military-civilian solidarity and firmly consolidating a firm posture of people's hearts and minds in the stationing area. At the same time, it contributes to building a bright, green, clean, beautiful, standardized, and exemplary environmental landscape within and around the unit," emphasized Senior Lieutenant Vu Manh Dung.
