“Forward Together - Embracing a New Era” in port and logistics development

On May 13, at Phuoc An Port in Phuoc An commune, Dong Nai City, Saigon Newport Corporation and Petro Vietnam Phuoc An Port Investment & Operation Joint Stock Company (Phuoc An Port or PAP) jointly held a panel discussion themed “Forward Together - Embracing a New Era”.

Representatives of relevant departments, agencies, and associations, leaders of Saigon Newport Corporation and Phuoc An Port, as well as representatives of shipping lines and numerous import-export and logistics enterprises, attended the event.

During the event, a representative of the Dong Nai City Department of Industry and Trade delivered a presentation on the role of State management in promoting the development of the port and logistics ecosystem in Dong Nai City. Meanwhile, a representative of Saigon Newport Corporation presented a report on developing the port and logistics ecosystem through cooperation between Saigon Newport Corporation and Phuoc An Port.

Truong Hoang Hai, Director of Phuoc An Port emphasized that the strategic partnership with Saigon Newport Corporation, Vietnam’s leading port operator, has opened new development opportunities for Phuoc An Port. The partnership goes beyond operational cooperation, representing a linkage within an integrated logistics ecosystem in which the capacity, experience, and network of Saigon Newport Corporation combine with the development potential of Phuoc An Port to generate greater value for customers, shipping lines, and import-export enterprises.

Additionally, at the panel discussion, leaders of the Customs Sub-Department of Region VIII, the Dong Nai Economic and Industrial Zones Authority, and the Dong Nai Logistics Association, as well as representatives of Saigon Newport Corporation and Phuoc An Port, discussed and shared solutions to promote the development of port services and strengthen linkages in developing green and sustainable logistics services in the city, particularly as Dong Nai became the country’s seventh city.
