At each place visited, Member of the Standing Board of the CPC and Chairman of the CPC’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization Duong Minh Dung conveyed wishes for a peaceful and joyful Vesak to the venerable monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers. He also briefed them on Dong Nai’s notable achievements in 2025 and the early months of 2026.

He stated that, with a spirit of solidarity and strong determination, Dong Nai City has recorded comprehensive achievements across all fields. The economy has maintained stable growth, socio-cultural sectors have developed harmoniously, national defense and security have been ensured, and the right to freedom of belief and religion has consistently been respected and guaranteed.

Notably, from April 30, 2026, Dong Nai officially became Vietnam’s 7th city, marking a significant milestone in its development history and affirming its new position and stature on the national development map. This is not only a source of pride for a modern metropolis but also a gateway and a key growth pole, fostering the aspiration and collective strength for Dong Nai to firmly enter a new era. In this proud journey, there has been a dedicated contribution, responsibility, and spirit of "service" from the venerable dignitaries, monks, nuns, and all Buddhist followers of the city.

Vesak 2026 is of even greater significance as it takes place amid the jubilant atmosphere of major national events, including the 51st anniversary of national reunification, the 136th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, and notably the success of the 14th National Party Congress, along with the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term. The occasion also marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the successful conclusion of the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Dong Nai province (now Dong Nai City).

Sharing in the common joy, Member of the Standing Board of the CPC and Chairman of the CPC’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization Duong Minh Dung expressed his trust that the venerable monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers will continue to adhere to the motto "Dharma–Nation–Socialism"; promote the tradition of "Safeguarding the country, bringing peace to the people"; and join hands with the authorities and people to build a civilized, modern, compassionate, and happy Dong Nai City.
