Purchasing power increases by 10–25% at Dong Nai supermarkets and shopping centers

On the afternoon of April 27, representatives from multiple supermarkets and shopping centers across Dong Nai reported that during the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day holiday, foot traffic and shopping demand increased by 10–25% compared to the same period in 2025.

Le Van Hong, Director of GO! Dong Nai supermarket (Long Hung ward), said that during the three-day holiday, the number of visitors and shoppers rose by approximately 25% compared to the same period last year.

Nguyen Quoc Minh, Director of Co.opmart Dong Xoai supermarket (Binh Phuoc ward), noted that during this period, the supermarket rolled out various sales promotion programs and organized game shows and other marketing activities. As a result, foot traffic and shopping demand over the past three days increased by around 30% compared to an ordinary weekend.

Similarly, Le Duc Thuan, Director of Lotte Mart Dong Nai (Long Binh ward), said that foot traffic and shopping demand during the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day holiday rose by approximately 30-40% compared with a typical weekend, while also recording a roughly 20% increase over the same period last year.

According to multiple supermarkets and shopping centers, this year’s Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day holiday falls close to the April 30 and May 1 holiday period, giving residents a wider range of choices for entertainment, travel, and returning home. This factor has somewhat affected shopping demand at supermarkets and shopping centers during the holiday. In response, supermarkets and shopping centers have stepped up promotional campaigns and expanded consumer stimulus programs to attract shoppers.

Trang Phuc, a representative of the Marketing Department at Co.opmart Bien Hoa supermarket (Tam Hiep ward), shared that the supermarket has significantly intensified major promotional campaigns during this occasion, including attractive incentives marking Co.opmart’s 30th anniversary. In addition, the supermarket is also organizing a variety of accompanying activities, including a traditional folk cake festival, during this period.
