At the starting point of the newly opened section, vehicles from multiple directions converged at the designated time, lining up and following traffic signs to enter the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway on its first official day of operation.

Along both sides of the route, authorities continuously directed and regulated traffic to prevent congestion. A system of traffic signs, bollards, and median barriers was installed in a synchronized manner, creating clearly defined access lanes that directed vehicles onto the expressway in an orderly manner. At around 5 p.m., the first vehicles officially began traveling on the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway.

According to relevant agencies, as of the opening date, the road surface along the operational section was completed, and the lanes were clearly marked. Guardrails, speed-limit signs, and directional signage had also been fully installed. During the initial operational phase, traffic will be organized under a temporary traffic management plan, with speed controls implemented to ensure safety. At key interchanges, authorities remain on duty to promptly address any situations that may arise.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Nguyen Van Trinh, Deputy Director of the Transportation Works Construction Investment Project Management Authority of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway is one of the key transport infrastructure projects of both Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai, long-awaited for many years. Once fully completed, the project will not only meet the expectations of the two localities but also serve as a major driving force for socio-economic development across the entire region.

During the initial operational phase, the expressway will operate with a maximum speed limit of 80 km/h and a minimum speed of 60 km/h. To ensure safety while infrastructure remains partially unfinished, only cars with fewer than nine seats are currently permitted to use the route.
