The activity took place in an amicable atmosphere, continuing to affirm the close ties and contributing to deepening the traditional friendship between the two countries' provinces.

During the visit to extend New Year greetings, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, Le Truong Son, wished the leaders and people of Stung Treng province a peaceful and happy New Year and continued success in socio-economic development. He hoped that the traditional friendship and solidarity between the two provinces in particular, and Vietnam and Cambodia in general, would remain forever green and sustainable.

Le Truong Son also expressed his satisfaction with the comprehensive development results of Cambodia in recent times in general and Stung Treng province in particular. With its advantages in natural landscapes, particularly the ecosystem connected to the Mekong River, Stung Treng is considered to have enormous potential for growing ecotourism and agriculture and plays an important role in regional commerce connectivity.

On this occasion, the working delegation briefed the leaders of the host province on the Dong Nai province's socioeconomic development after the two-tier local government model was implemented. Accordingly, Dong Nai is always ready to create favorable conditions for foreign enterprises and investors to explore opportunities and do business. The policy of establishing Dong Nai City under the Central Government has opened up a new stage of development, affirming the province's position.

The provincial leaders also expressed their confidence that the localities will continue to effectively implement cooperation, contributing to the realization of high-level agreements established at the 13th Conference on Cooperation and Development between Vietnamese and Cambodian border provinces.

Both sides greatly valued the success of their recent cooperation, particularly in the fields of human resource training, agriculture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges. In the 2026-2030 period, Dong Nai will continue to provide scholarships to students from the host provinces, contributing to strengthening long-term connections.

The visit was not only a chance to deliver New Year greetings to the Cambodian side but also to strengthen confidence, enhance cooperation, and contribute to cultivating an increasingly strong Vietnam-Cambodia relationship for the shared benefit of the peoples of both nations.
