Master - Specialist Doctor Level II Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Children’s Hospital:
Hoping for greater investment in the hospital

Becoming a centrally governed city is a great opportunity for Dong Nai’s healthcare sector in general and pediatrics in particular to become a new healthcare “growth pole” of the country. Dong Nai has a population of nearly 4.5 million people and many industrial parks, resulting in a very large young population. Therefore, Dong Nai Children’s Hospital is required to strongly develop in both specialized expertise and full pediatric specialty coverage. When Dong Nai becomes a centrally governed city, the elevation will drive the development of all sectors, strengthen economy, and raise people’s demands. Therefore, I hope Dong Nai Children’s Hospital will be invested in to upgrade facilities and modern equipment so that it can fully perform advanced pediatric techniques and receive more systematic investment in digital transformation. At the same time, there should be mechanisms and policies to attract talent, retain dedicated personnel, and ensure sufficient high-quality human resources.
Lieutenant Colonel Dang Quang Hung, Chief of Phuoc Thai Commune Police:
Motivation for the police force to develop comprehensively

The policy of building Dong Nai Province into a centrally governed city meets the practical requirements of the province’s economic, political, and social development as well as its future development potential and room for growth. In recent times, security and social order in the province have been maintained; criminal offenses reduced; while traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, and state management of social order all ensured. Once becoming the centrally governed city, Dong Nai’s transformation will be a driving force for the police force to develop comprehensively, ensuring discipline, professionalism, and modernization. In addition, the police force also hopes that the Central Government and local Party committees and authorities will pay attention to organizational structure, training of high-quality human resources, and selecting capable leaders and commanders. At the same time, greater attention should be paid to building headquarters and investing in modern machinery and equipment to meet digital transformation requirements and future high-tech crime prevention and fighting.

I also expect that after Dong Nai becomes a city, infrastructure will be invested in synchronously, people’s material and spiritual life will improve further, and the living environment will become more civilized and modern. This will create conditions to strongly attract investment resources, generate more jobs, and promote socio-economic development. For the Provincial Women’s Union, we will continue promoting communication about the project to establish Dong Nai City among all levels of the union, members, and women. At the same time, in the coming period, the union will focus on effectively implementing content related to improving digital capacity and supporting livelihoods, employment, and entrepreneurship to promote the role of women in local socio-economic development, thereby contributing to building Dong Nai into a livable city in the future.

The information that Dong Nai will become a centrally governed city in the future is not only good news for Dong Nai residents but also for Lilama 2 International Technology College. From the perspective of an educational institution, we expect this major policy to create breakthrough preferential policies equivalent to those of existing centrally governed cities, laying an important foundation for Dong Nai in general and educational institutions in particular to have more resources for proper development and training of high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of a modern urban area. When Dong Nai officially becomes a centrally governed city, Lilama 2 International Technology College identifies its key task as continuing to improve teaching programs and accompanying the locality in training a highly skilled workforce ready to welcome investment waves from foreign-invested enterprises and international corporations, thereby contributing to socio-economic development worthy of a centrally governed city.

I am pleased and full of expectations upon hearing that Dong Nai is aiming to become a centrally governed city. This is not merely an administrative step forward but also opens many important opportunities for the locality to enhance its position on the economic map and increase attractiveness to domestic and foreign investors. Dong Nai’s development will bring many practical benefits to workers. As investment projects increase, job opportunities will become more abundant, workers’ incomes will improve, and social welfare and security policies will receive greater attention. In addition, quality of life, covering from living conditions and education to healthcare, will improve significantly. I believe that with the right orientation and efforts of authorities and the business community, Dong Nai will soon achieve its goals and become a dynamic and modern economic-industrial center.

Wishing for more parks

I and people living around the area are very happy and excited that the Central Government has approved the policy for Dong Nai to become a centrally governed city. I believe Dong Nai will develop more strongly in the coming time. Sharing in this joy, I hope Dong Nai will have more positive changes in urban appearance and roads will be planned more systematically and built wider and better. In addition, there should be more trees and green spaces to ensure a better living environment. In particular, I hope Dong Nai will have more parks to serve people’s recreational, entertainment, and exercise needs. With its current potential, Dong Nai also needs to build an international-standard event center.
Hoang Thi Bich Ngoc, a resident in Tam Hiep ward:
Expecting investment in a large theater
![]() |
In large cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang, there are large theaters with capacities of thousands of people. These are places where local residents can enjoy outstanding artistic performances of the country. Currently, Dong Nai does not yet have a theater of grand scale and stature, so residents often have to travel to Ho Chi Minh City to enjoy artistic performances. Therefore, I hope that when becoming a centrally governed city, Dong Nai will invest more in culture and arts, building several theaters to improve the cultural and spiritual life of residents and attract tourists.
