It was also connected online to 95 communes and wards across the province.

Investment attraction continued to show positive results. By the end of March, domestic investment reached over VND15.6 trillion, while foreign direct investment (FDI) exceeded US$1.1 billion. State budget revenue also posted encouraging outcomes, with total collections reaching more than VND32.7 trillion as of April 4, equivalent to 33% of the annual target assigned by the Prime Minister and the Provincial People’s Council.
Dong Nai has also completed its approval of the provincial adjusted master plan for the 2021–2030 period, with a vision to 2050. The province is now finalizing procedures to approve four general urban plans for Bien Hoa, Long Thanh, Nhon Trach, and Trang Bom, while simultaneously preparing detailed planning schemes for all 95 communes and wards under the new administrative structure.
During the first quarter, the province commenced construction on six social housing projects comprising 4,844 units. At the same time, construction commencement, groundbreaking and technical traffic opening ceremonies were held for a series of key transport infrastructure projects.
In addition, Dong Nai successfully organized elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 tenure. Notably, on March 25, at its second plenum, the Party Central Committee approved in principle the establishment of Dong Nai as a centrally governed city. The Politburo was tasked with directing the Government’s Party Committee to finalize relevant documentation for submission to the 16th National Assembly at its first session.
Socio-cultural sectors and social welfare policies continued to be implemented in a coordinated manner, while national defense, security, and social order were maintained. External relations were also carried out proactively and effectively.

For the second quarter of 2026, Dong Nai has set out specific goals and solutions to further promote socio-economic development, with a strong focus on achieving a GRDP growth target of 10%.
Meanwhile, the province will continue to effectively implement its master plan and accelerate the formulation and adjustment of urban planning, particularly in areas linked to Long Thanh International Airport.
Concluding the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut noted that despite the short implementation period, the province’s overall socio-economic performance in the first quarter was positive, with several indicators exceeding the national average. “In terms of economic growth, Dong Nai leads the Southern region,” he emphasized.
However, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee also pointed out existing limitations. Although growth remained high, it has yet to meet the annual scenario target. Public investment disbursement remains slow, and policy advisory work has not been sufficiently effective.

Reaffirming the determination to achieve double-digit growth goal in 2026, the provincial leader urged relevant agencies to accelerate task implementation in the second quarter, particularly in budget revenue collection and public investment disbursement. The province aims to disburse over 50% of its public investment plan by the end of the second quarter.
In addition, further decentralization and delegation of authority to commune- and ward-level administrations will be promoted. In the socio-cultural sphere, priority will be given to preparing for entrance exams for lower secondary schools and national high school graduation exams, while ensuring safety and maintaining quality standards.
