Accordingly, this year’s All People’s Health Day 2026 carries the theme "Proactive disease prevention - For a healthy Vietnam," emphasizing the shift from medical examination and treatment to proactive disease prevention, thereby helping protect and improve public health comprehensively and sustainably.
One of the key priorities is to mobilize the engagement of the entire political system, departments, agencies, local authorities, and the public in health protection and care efforts. The campaign also seeks to drive a province-wide communication push, spreading awareness about disease prevention, enhancing quality of life, and advancing toward universal health coverage.

The plan outlines several concrete targets: all communes and wards are required to develop and implement action plans; each locality must organize at least one response activity; over 70% of local health stations are expected to provide consultation and screening for non-communicable diseases; and more than 10,000 residents are projected to take part in related activities across the province.
A wide range of practical and inclusive activities will be organized, tailored to different population groups. These include community outreach campaigns, public displays of banners and slogans, walking and fitness programs, and awareness initiatives focusing on disease prevention, particularly non-communicable diseases.
The healthcare sector will play a central role, delivering medical check-ups, consultations, and screenings for non-communicable diseases, along with guidance on nutrition and mental health. Efforts will also be strengthened in vaccination, disease management, and early detection. Priority will be given to vulnerable groups, including elderly seniors, workers, and high-risk populations.
The Provincial People’s Committee has also assigned clear responsibilities to relevant departments and agencies. Among them, the Department of Health will serve as the lead agency, while the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize physical activity programs. The Department of Education and Training will promote school-based health education. The Dong Nai Economic and Industrial Zones Authority will conduct outreach among workers, and the Provincial Police will ensure security and public order throughout the campaign, etc. |
