As departments, agencies, units and localities across Dong Nai Province are mobilizing maximum human resources and working with urgency, determination and a high sense of responsibility to finalize the dossier for submission to the Government and presentation at the first session of the 16th National Assembly on schedule, public optimism is running high over the proposal to establish Dong Nai as a centrally governed city within the prescribed timeline.

Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television continues to gather opinions from representatives of departments, agencies, units, localities, as well as people from various social strata regarding this content.

Nguyen Toan Thang, Head of Dong Nai Provincial Tax Department:

Creating special mechanisms and policies to develop Dong Nai comprehensively and sustainably

Dong Nai is currently one of the leading localities nationwide in state budget revenue, with a solid foundation from a dynamically developing industrial province. However, in addition to its achievements, Dong Nai still has much untapped potential, especially in the fields of land, services, trade, and tourism.

In this context, if Dong Nai becomes a centrally governed city, the locality will have the conditions to access and apply special mechanisms and policies, thereby promoting comprehensive and sustainable economic development. This is an important opportunity for Dong Nai to exploit revenue sources for the state budget.

The Dong Nai tax sector will also proactively innovate management methods, synchronously implement solutions suitable to the local characteristics, ensure correct, sufficient, and timely collection for the state budget; and at the same time accompany and support businesses to develop stably and sustainably.

Major Tong Van Thoa, Head of the anti-crime unit under Phuoc Binh Ward Police:

Investing in upgrading infrastructure to ensure security and order

As an officer participating in the grassroots police force, I agree with and support the policy of building Dong Nai as a centrally governed city. This is a favorable condition to promote socio-economic development, and at the same time improve the quality of state management of security and order.

To ensure security and order in the area in the new context, it is necessary to pay attention to synchronous investment in technical infrastructure, especially the security camera surveillance system and smart operations centers to support the police force in preventing, detecting, and handling violations. In addition, it is necessary to increase staffing, equipment, and policy regimes for grassroots police forces to match the increasing pressure of mechanical population growth as the city develops. Furthermore, application of digital technology must be promoted, connecting population and residential data to support management more effectively.

One issue that needs attention is propaganda work, raising public awareness of law observance, and building the “All People's Protect National Security” movement strongly. Greater attention should be paid to investing in all aspects in the northern area of the province to create a balance between regions throughout the province. If implemented synchronously, this policy will contribute to maintaining stable security and order, serving the sustainable development of the locality.

Nguyen Thi Lien, Vice Principal of Loc Hiep Secondary School in Loc Quang commune:

Hoping that schools in remote areas will receive more investment in facilities and equipment

The news that the Central Government approved the policy of building Dong Nai province into a centrally governed city made not only myself but also many officials, teachers, and students in the school happy. We really hope that this policy will soon become a reality, Dong Nai province will grow stronger and stronger, accompanied by even stronger investment in education.

We hope that when Dong Nai becomes a centrally governed city, schools in border areas, remote and isolated areas like Loc Hiep will receive even more investment; and at the same time, have special mechanisms to increase teachers' income, helping them feel secure in their work.

Tran Van Hieu, Resident of Hiep Tam hamlet, Loc Quang commune:

Hoping people's lives will be better

When I heard that Dong Nai had been approved by the Central Government to become a centrally governed city, we were very happy. I see that Dong Nai has many advantages and potentials to develop even better, on par with some of the current centrally governed cities. We have many modern industrial parks, large areas, and a large population... these are very favorable conditions for development.

We hope that when the province becomes a centrally governed city, the lives of the people, especially those in remote, far-flung, and border areas like us, will be better, and infrastructure, electricity, roads, schools, and medical stations will be invested in more systematically and spaciously so that people can benefit more.

Thai Thi Bich Tram, Teacher at Trang Dai Primary School, Trang Dai ward:

Hoping more schools and classrooms will be built

I am very happy and hope that Dong Nai will become a centrally governed city as soon as possible. Because when that day comes, the locality will make even stronger strides in infrastructure as well as have other conditions to promote socio-economic development.

Notably, I hope that in Trang Dai ward in particular and some other areas, more schools will be built to alleviate the situation of overcrowded classrooms. At the same time, more modern teaching equipment will be invested in to facilitate teachers’ work, integrate digital capabilities, digital transformation, and guide students on how to use artificial intelligence... to improve the quality of education in the new situation. For Trang Dai locality, I hope that traffic infrastructure will be developed even better, and roads will be cleaner and more beautiful...

Ho Thi Thuy Duong, Civil servant of Loc Ninh Commune Party Committee:

Hoping that Loc Ninh will make strong breakthroughs

When I heard the news that Loc Ninh commune had met all conditions to become a ward, and Dong Nai had been approved by the Central Government to become a centrally governed city, I and other residents living in the commune were very happy and excited.

I hope this change will bring a new look to Loc Ninh in particular and all communes and wards in Dong Nai province in general, with Loc Ninh receiving more investment in infrastructure so that people can travel conveniently and have a better life.
