Amid growing public excitement as Dong Nai moves toward centrally governed city status, all strata of society have voiced the view that developing high-quality human resources is crucial. In the new context, the workforce must meet the demands for digital transformation, particularly to advance the two pillars of digital economy and digital society.

Specialist Level II Doctor, Le Quang Trung,
Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Health
Building a comprehensive and synchronized healthcare sector
As Dong Nai becomes a centrally governed city, the healthcare sector must pursue strong transformation and synchronised development to align with its new role and status. In the new phase, the central objective is to enhance the overall health system capacity, ensuring it better meets the growing healthcare needs of the residents. The sector will prioritise strengthening and modernising infrastructure, alongside investing in advanced medical equipment to keep up with rapid scientific and technological progress, particularly as digital transformation deepens and artificial intelligence applications expand.
In addition, the development of high-quality human resources is also identified as a key factor. Investment should be carried out in parallel between personnel and equipment, as a shortage of qualified staff capable of handling new technologies will reduce efficiency. At the same time, the healthcare sector will focus on reorganising its structure, allocating human resources appropriately, and enhancing the overall operational efficiency of the system.
Another key orientation is to advance specialised healthcare by establishing and expanding specialty centers in fields such as cardiology and oncology, in line with modern treatment trends, easing pressure on higher-level hospitals, and improving the quality of medical examination and treatment at the local level.
In particular, the sector will prioritise building a digital healthcare ecosystem based on electronic medical records, management systems, cashless payments, and medical data connectivity. This is considered a required step toward a smart healthcare system, helping provide services to people in a faster, more convenient, and more effective manner.

Prioritising investment in education and training
Dong Nai’s transition to a centrally governed city has long been the shared aspiration of local residents. As a dynamic province, once it becomes a city, I believe that Dong Nai will gain stronger momentum to develop into a large, rapidly growing, and sustainable urban area.
As a teacher, I pay close attention to changes in the education sector as the locality enters a new development phase. To match the status of a major city, Dong Nai needs to ensure synchronised investment in facilities and resources for education to meet students’ learning needs and support the training of high-quality human resources for future development. To achieve this, requirements for education quality and teaching staff must be continuously raised, along with suitable policies to attract and retain talent and prevent “brain drain”. Greater focus should also be placed on education and training in remote, isolated, and border areas to ensure all students have equal access to education.

Vu Duc Ninh, a veteran in Tam Hiep ward
Focusing on training high-quality human resources
I once took part in the resistance war and have been closely associated with Dong Nai since liberation. I have witnessed firsthand the changes in this arduous yet heroic land.
Since its liberation 51 years ago, the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Dong Nai have consistently overcome difficulties and challenges, emerging as a locality with an important role in the southern key economic region and the country, making significant contributions to national economic growth and overall development.
Dong Nai has met the conditions to become a centrally governed city. However, I believe that to develop into a modern, dynamic, and livable metropolis, it needs to implement synchronised solutions. Priority should be given to educating and training the young generation with knowledge and the ability to access modern science and technology. In a rapidly changing world, young people will be at the forefront of embracing new knowledge and applying it in practice, contributing to building a strong Dong Nai that makes positive contributions to the country.

Nguyen Huu Thang, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Division
of Thong Nhat commune
Continuing investment in infrastructure while awakening local tourism potential
As a resident of Dong Nai, I feel delighted and proud that the province will become a centrally governed city. This marks a significant historical milestone, bringing not only personal honour but also shared pride as Dong Nai’s status is elevated to stand alongside major cities in the country.
In the coming phase, I expect Dong Nai to mobilise all resources and step up investment promotion to drive breakthroughs across sectors. Priority will be given to building a modern, synchronised infrastructure system suited to a centrally governed city. Attention should also be focused on developing a team of capable and dedicated officials, as this is a decisive factor for achieving sustainable development in line with the city’s new status.
For Thong Nhat commune, where I am working, I hope that authorities at all levels will continue to pay attention and create favourable conditions for the early construction of a new administrative headquarters to stabilise operations and better serve the people. At the same time, it is necessary to mobilise maximum resources to invest in cultural activities, arts, and social life in the locality. In addition, Thong Nhat commune has been selected by the province as a site for developing tourism around Tri An Lake. I hope there will be strong investment in resources to turn this area into a highlight on the tourism map, creating momentum for sustainable local economic development.

Sculptor Tran Dinh Thang, member of the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association
Telling the story of a dynamic, globally integrated Dong Nai through sculpture
From a young artist’s perspective, I see Dong Nai’s transition to a centrally governed city as an important boost for the creative environment. As the city advances to a higher level, demand for public art spaces, applied arts, and urban sculpture is expected to rise. This will create more opportunities for young artists to take part, contribute, and affirm their role.
A modern city cannot be without cultural and artistic imprints, particularly iconic outdoor sculptures linked to the history and people of Dong Nai. For me, this is not only a source of pride but also a responsibility: ensuring that each work is not only beautiful in form but also deep in meaning, helping convey the story of a dynamic, globally integrated Dong Nai that retains its distinct identity.
