Central, provincial leaders visit Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ho Thi Vang

On the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975–2026), a delegation of Central and provincial leaders visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ho Thi Vang in Phu Trach neighborhood, Tan Trieu ward, Dong Nai province on April 28 morning. The delegation was led by Le Minh Tri, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Chairman of the PCC’s Commission for Internal Affairs; along with Vu Hong Van, Member of the PCC, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC) and Head of the Dong Nai National Assembly Delegation.

Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the PPC, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province; and Le Truong Son, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, also joined the visit.

Mother Ho Thi Vang is the widow of martyr Nguyen Van Day and the mother of martyr Nguyen Van Day. Now 90 years old, she is always cared for and supported both materially and spiritually by her family and the local authorities.

Le Minh Tri, Chairman of the PCC’s Commission for Internal Affairs; and Vu Hong Van, Secretary of PPC, warmly inquired after Mother Vang's health. They expressed their wishes for her to continue living a happy and healthy life, continuing to serve as a shining example for her descendants and younger generations to follow the noble sacrificial spirit of herself and her family.

The leaders also requested local Party Committees, authorities, and mass organizations to further promote the noble traditions of "When drinking water, remember its source" and "Paying debt of gratitude" and do their best in the task of caring for and providing both physical and spiritual support for Mother Vang.

On the occasion of the visit by central and provincial leaders, Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ho Thi Vang expressed her joy and deep emotion at seeing Dong Nai’s daily transformation. She noted that local authorities have always been attentive in implementing policies and benefits for families of revolutionary contributors. Mother Vang expressed her contentment and entrusted her faith and expectations that the country in general, and Dong Nai province in particular, will continue to develop, ensuring a full, prosperous, and happy life for all citizens, which is also her greatest wish.
