Dong Nai to launch Olympic Run Day – For Public Health – For National Security 2026 on March 22 morning

The Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee has just issued a Plan to organize the launching ceremony of the Dong Nai Province Olympic Run Day - For Public Health - For National Security 2026.

Accordingly, the launching ceremony is scheduled to take place at 6:30 a.m. on March 22, 2026 (Sunday), at the premises of the Dong Nai Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion to mark the 14th National Party Congress and the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, as well as to commemorate the 80th traditional day of Vietnam’s sports sector (March 27, 1946 - 2026), the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931-2026), and the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People’s Security Force (July 12, 1946-2026).

The event is organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Provincial Police, with an expected participation of 3,000 to 4,000 people, including provincial leaders, officials, civil servants, public employees, employees of provincial departments, agencies, and mass organizations; armed forces; students from universities, colleges, and vocational schools at intermediate level; high school students; enterprises; and people across the province.

The running route is approximately 1,200m-1,500m, starting from the premises of the Dong Nai Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, following Nguyen Ai Quoc Street to the traffic light intersection (Gate 2), and returning to the starting point. Participants run in groups, they start and finish together, regardless of gender or age.

The organization of the Olympic Run Day aims to encourage and mobilize people from all walks of life to participate in physical exercise and sports, improve health for study, work, and production, and effectively implement the campaign “All people exercise following the example of great President Ho Chi Minh” and the movement “ Staying healthy to establish a career and defend the country," demonstrating the core role of the police force in the "All people protecting national security" movement. At the same time, it strengthens security and order, contributing to promoting Dong Nai’s image as a locality active in physical training and strengthening solidarity among sectors and organizations.
