As a result, the program aims to develop housing in a synchronous manner, closely combined with the provincial plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050. Development will focus on key locations, including Long Thanh International Airport, Long Thanh airport urban area, the Dong Nai River economic corridor, high-tech zones, free trade zones, and regional central urban areas.
According to the decision, Dong Nai sets a target of completing over 700,600 apartments by 2030. For each type, the province plans to develop over 480,200 commercial housing units; at least 67,000 social housing units; over 3,100 units for the armed forces; and nearly 300 official housing units. In addition, it is forecasted that residents will self-build or renovate about 150,000 units, equivalent to 18 million square meters of floor area.

Along with this, the province continues to implement housing support policies for people with meritorious services, poor and near-poor households, and households affected by natural disasters and climate change. The province also promotes the renovation and reconstruction of old buildings in conjunction with urban beautification.
Previously, the Resolution of the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term set a target of developing at least 65,000 social housing units. The Prime Minister has assigned the province to complete nearly 64,700 units in the period from now to 2030.
