Dong Nai welcomes over 130,000 tourists for sightseeing and overnight stays during the New Year holiday

According to the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, during the 4-day 2026 New Year holiday (from January 1 to 4), Dong Nai welcomed over 130,000 visitors for sightseeing and accommodation at tourist areas and attractions in the province, representing a 9% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

Among these, domestic tourists accounted for approximately 125,000 arrivals, primarily comprising local tourists and short-stay tourists from Ho Chi Minh City and its neighboring provinces. International tourists were estimated at around 5,000 arrivals, concentrated in ecological and resort tourist areas and attractions.

The number of visitors to several tourist areas and attractions reached relatively high figures, including: Son Tien Ecotourism City (Long Hung Ward), which attracted about 20,000 arrivals; Buu Long Tourist Area (Tran Bien Ward) and Suoi Mo (Tan Phu Commune) tourist areas, each welcoming around 4,500 arrivals; golf courses across the province drew approximately 5,000 arrivals; Cat Tien National Park, 4,000 arrivals; and Bo Cap Vang Ecological Tourist Area (Dai Phuoc Commune), about 3,000 arrivals.

In addition, the culinary cultural space in Phuoc Long Ward drew interest from both local and out-of-province tourists.

The number of overnight guests was estimated at around 37,500 arrivals, with an average room occupancy rate of approximately 32–35%.

In particular, room occupancy at ecological resorts and community-based tourism sites around Tri An Lake (Tri An Commune) and Cat Tien National Park (Nam Cat Tien Commune) reached about 80–90%.

Tourism revenue during the early 2026 holiday period was estimated at 100 billion VND, a 14% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

During the New Year holiday, tourism activities in the province were ensured to be safe and stable.
