The dramatic increase in visitor arrivals to local tourist sites during Tet

(ĐN) - Tourist areas of Dong Nai province have drawn large numbers of tourists and visitors during the Tet holidays with an increase of 8-12 per cent in visitor arrivals compared to the same period of last year.

(ĐN) - Tourist areas of Dong Nai province have drawn large numbers of tourists and visitors during the Tet holidays with an increase of 8-12 per cent in visitor arrivals compared to the same period of last year. Particularly, Bo Cap Vang (Golden Scorpion) ecological tourism area situated in Nhon Trach district attracted over 2,500 visitors on average per day and recorded the highest peak with 5,000 visitors a day. During the Tet holidays, Bo Cap Vang organized folk games including bit mat dap nieu, in which participants are blindfolded and have to try to smash a clay pot; di ca kheu (walking on stilts); nhay bao bo (jumping in jute bags); dua thuyen (boat racing). Besides, the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet) was celebrated in Bo Cap Vang with a series of colourful events and traditional performances such as lion and dragon dances, kungfu…Visitors also enjoyed artistic performances based on folk tales telling the story of An Tiem who grew water melons on an island in the sea and the legend of Betel – Areca etc.

Other tourist destinations of the province such as Buu Long, Giang Dien Waterfall, Cat Tien National Park, Chua Chan Mountain, Gia Lao Pagoda, and Green Club … also drew greater benefits from a large number of visitors during Tet.
