On July 21, Nguyen Duc Lenh, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam's Region 2 Branch, said policy credit in Dong Nai City maintained steady growth during the first half of 2026, in line with the objectives of national policy credit programs and the branch's 2026 operational plan.

Through various policy credit programs, nearly 44,000 poor households and other eligible beneficiaries across the city received loans totaling more than VND2.9 trillion. The loans have helped households invest in production and business activities, create jobs, generate income and improve their living standards.

Lenh attributed the positive results largely to the job creation lending program, which continued to account for the largest share of both outstanding loans and total loan disbursements among the branch's policy credit programs. During the first half of 2026, the program disbursed more than VND1.3 trillion, accounting for 45.3% of the total loan disbursements of the VBSP’s Dong Nai Branch during the period. The program provided nearly 16,600 workers with access to capital to expand production and business activities, create jobs, establish sustainable livelihoods and increase their incomes.
