Community joins hands to beautify urban spaces

Strong public support and active participation from the business community are providing significant momentum for Tam Hiep Ward to accelerate urban renewal projects, improve residents’ quality of life, and transform the appearance of one of Dong Nai City’s central wards.

As Dong Nai City strives to develop into a modern, multi-center urban area with multiple growth poles, strong regional connectivity, and deeper international integration, local authorities believe that achieving these long-term goals begins with practical actions: joining hands to contribute to, build, and preserve the urban space to make it increasingly livable.

Creating a new urban landscape

For the past several days, every afternoon, Do Huu Nhuan, a resident of Quarter 3 in Tam Hiep Ward, has spent about 15 minutes watering and caring for newly planted trees at the park on Tran Thi Hoa Street. "My house is right next to the park, so I volunteered to look after the newly planted trees. If I cannot contribute financially, I can still contribute my time and effort to help build a greener, cleaner and more beautiful city," Nhuan said.

In late May 2026, Tam Hiep Ward began constructing the park on Tran Thi Hoa Street. After about 10 days of construction, a previously unkempt plot of land gradually took shape as a park. A green, clean, and beautiful space not only creates an ecological community space but also serves as a highlight of the urban landscape.

Pham Van Loi, a resident of Quarter 3, Tam Hiep Ward, said that when the policy to build the park on Tran Thi Hoa Street was announced, residents were delighted. "Having another green space and a community activity area makes everyone excited and happy," Loi expressed.

Meanwhile, work is progressing rapidly on Tam Hiep Park along Pham Van Thuan Street, the ward's main thoroughfare. The previously abandoned site, more than 400 square meters in size, is being landscaped with trees, pedestrian walkways and outdoor fitness equipment.

Luong Thanh Huy, Head of Quarter 1, Tam Hiep Ward, stated that the project helps give the urban area a new face while providing residents with additional public activity space. "Residents are very excited and highly supportive of the policy to build Tam Hiep Park. Once completed, this place will not only add to the urban green canopy but also provide a space for people to relax and play," Huy noted.

In Trang Dai Ward, Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, a key arterial road running through the area, is also undergoing procedures to finalize its upgrade and expansion.

According to Chairman of the Trang Dai Ward People's Committee Le Kim Huong, implementing the project will not only solve traffic and travel issues for residents but also contribute to making the urban area spacious, clean, and beautiful.

In Tran Bien Ward, the central urban area of Dong Nai city, several parks and public gardens have also undergone extensive renovation.

The first phase of Lam Son Park has been completed, featuring an open design that blends harmoniously with the Dong Nai River landscape. Upgrades included removing surrounding fences, improving landscaping, planting additional trees, paving sidewalks and installing new lighting systems. The park now serves as both a historical destination for younger generations and a recreational venue for local residents.

Putting residents' interests first

Responding to Dong Nai City's special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign, themed "Solidarity – Discipline – Efficiency – Breakthrough, building a civilized and modern Dong Nai," Tam Hiep Ward has identified urban beautification as one of its top priorities, aiming not only to enhance living standards but also to create a greener, cleaner and more modern urban landscape.

Nguyen Van Anh, Chairman of the Tam Hiep Ward People's Committee, said one of the greatest advantages during project implementation has been the strong support from local residents and businesses. "The two park projects on Pham Van Thuan and Tran Thi Hoa streets required a total investment of more than VND1.5 billion. The entire budget was mobilized through socialized funding sources for renovation and remodeling," Anh said.

Most construction work on both parks has now been completed, and the facilities are gradually being put into operation. Residents have expressed great satisfaction, noting that the projects not only improve daily life but also create a more attractive urban environment.

Nguyen Van Anh added that the positive initial results demonstrate that public participation has become a vital driving force in implementing infrastructure projects and in building Tam Hiep into a greener, cleaner, more civilized, modern and livable ward.

In Long Thanh Ward, following the commencement of several projects to renovate schools and government offices, local authorities are preparing to launch additional projects to upgrade parks and expand public lighting systems.

Le Hoang Son, Chairman of the Long Thanh Ward People's Committee, said that renovating local parks and installing additional lighting systems are intended to upgrade community spaces and better meet residents' recreational and entertainment needs. The improvements also contribute to a more spacious, modern appearance for the urban area.
