After three days of competition and project presentations before the judging panel, the student category saw the project “CASHEW ESSENCE – Plant-based food from cashew nuts” by a team from Lac Hong University secure the second prize overall.

The project was developed by an interdisciplinary team of students majoring in Pharmacy, Information Technology, English Language, and Finance–Accounting. Previously, the idea had also been recognized as an outstanding project in the fields of agriculture, environment, and energy by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

Meanwhile, in the high school category, the project “Pearldewin – Chau Lo Am” by Chu Van An High School (Bien Hoa ward, Dong Nai province) won third prize. Notably, this marks the first time Dong Nai high school students have achieved a top award at the national SV_STARTUP competition.

At the closing ceremony, the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) also announced outstanding collectives and individuals in startup activities for 2025. Accordingly, Lac Hong University was named among 25 institutions with exemplary startup initiatives. Dr. Nguyen Van Tan, Vice Rector of the university, was honored among the top 30 educators for their contributions to startup activities. Meanwhile, Vu Luong Hoai Linh, a student of the Faculty of English Language, was listed among 17 outstanding student entrepreneurs.

This year’s SV_STARTUP festival attracted around 10,000 students nationwide, along with the participation of approximately 50 businesses and experts. These results underscore the effectiveness of innovation and entrepreneurship support in educational institutions, thereby contributing to the development of high-quality human resources in the service of Dong Nai’s sustainable growth goals.
