Speaking at the event, Vo Thi Ngoc Lam said that food safety has always been a matter of concern for society as a whole and is particularly important. Food directly affects human health and the development of future generations, contributes to socio-economic development, political stability, national defense and security, and is a necessary condition for sustainable development at the local and national levels. Therefore, the Party, the State, and the leadership of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and the provincial People’s Committee have paid close attention to ensuring food safety and issued numerous directives on food safety management.
This year’s Action Month runs from April 15 to May 15 under the theme: “Ensuring food safety and preventing food poisoning in catering services and street food.” During this period, three inter-sectoral inspection teams will be deployed to examine food producers, distributors, and service providers across the province. Any violations will be subject to strict legal action.

In parallel with provincial-level efforts, communes and wards have been instructed to establish inspection teams suited to local conditions, with a focus on catering services and street food vendors. Alongside enforcement, authorities will intensify communication and legal outreach to ensure that food business operators fully understand and comply with regulations.
Vo Thi Ngoc Lam further noted that no cases of food poisoning were recorded in 2025 or in the first quarter of 2026. Maintaining this record remains a key target for the year, aimed at safeguarding public health and lives.
At the conference, representatives of departments, localities, and enterprises reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening food safety measures. They also signed pledges to ensure compliance at companies, institutions, and schools.
