On April 7, Dong Nai Provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board held a ceremony to mark the 45th anniversary of its establishment.

The ceremony was attended by Truong My Hoa, former Vice President of Vietnam, and Most Venerable Thich Thien Nhon, Deputy Supreme Patriarch and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.

Also present at the event were provincial leaders, including Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the PPC and Chairwoman of Dong Nai VFF Committee; Le Thi Thai, member of the PPC and Deputy Head of the PPC’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, along with representatives of various departments and agencies.

According to Most Venerable Thich Buu Chanh, Standing Deputy Head of Dong Nai Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board, over the past 45 years of formation and development, the Sangha has consistently accompanied and contributed to the province’s growth.
Looking ahead, Dong Nai Buddhist Sangha will continue to uphold its guiding principle of building a strong Sangha within the nation, following the orientation of “Dharma – Nation – Socialism,” while further contributing to local socio-economic development.

On this occasion, Huynh Thi Hang presented congratulatory flowers on behalf of the PPC, the Provincial People’s Council, Provincial People’s Committee and Provincial VFF to Dong Nai Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board.
Also on this occasion, the Provincial Buddhist Sangha honored and rewarded 186 collectives and individuals for their notable contributions throughout its 45-year history.
