In recent days, the "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan On Dang" (Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party) program, simultaneously organized by all levels of trade unions across Dong Nai province, has brought the warmth of spring to thousands of workers and laborers in difficult circumstances who are working far from home.

Small gifts and bus or train tickets delivered directly into workers' hands reflect the role and responsibility of trade union organizations in accompanying and caring for laborers' lives during the Tet holiday.

Meaningful gifts

As one of the worker families receiving gifts at the "Tet Reunion" Program organized by the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation (LF), Le Thi Dan, a worker at SMC Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Long Duc Industrial Park, Dong Nai province), expressed her joy and emotion. Dan said: Due to difficult circumstances, every Tet holiday, the worry of spending becomes heavier as her salary is meager. Participating in the program and receiving timely attention, sharing, and encouragement from the trade union organization has helped her feel more confident and welcome Tet with a lighter heart.

"The gifts and inquiries from trade union officials at the Tet Reunion program, though not large in material value, are very meaningful spiritually, giving me more faith and motivation to continue striving in my work and life. I would like to thank the trade union for always accompanying us and bringing us a warm and affectionate Tet," shared Le Thi Dan.

Le An Minh, a worker from Thanh Hoa province currently employed at Bau Xeo Industrial Park in Dong Nai province, has not been able to return to his hometown for Tet for four consecutive years. According to Minh, after the Covid-19 pandemic, the company where he works experienced a decline in orders and stopped organizing overtime as before, leading to a significant drop in his income. In some months, his salary was not enough to cover living expenses, forcing him to cut back on spending.

This Tet, Minh and many other worker families facing difficult circumstances received gifts worth 2.3 million VND from the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation. While the gift is not significant in material terms, it carries deep emotional significance, offering Minh renewed motivation to overcome hardship, remain committed to his job, and welcome a warmer, more fulfilling Tet.

Dan and Minh are just two among thousands of workers in challenging situations who received care and support from all levels of trade unions in Dong Nai province during Tet 2026. The Tet gifts, handed directly to workers, not only provide meaningful material assistance but also help ease burdens and share in the hardships, contributing to reduced financial pressure at the end of the year.

Adding faith and motivation to workers

On the occasion of Tet 2026, the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation organized the program “Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party” across six areas with a high concentration of workers in the province. The program ran from February 1 to 8 and featured a variety of meaningful activities, including presenting Tet gifts to trade union members and laborers in difficult circumstances; holding cultural and artistic events to celebrate the spring and Tet; distributing bus tickets to workers returning home for the holiday; and setting up engaging game booths. This care and support allowed laborers to clearly feel the companionship and support of trade unions, businesses, and the broader community.

In these areas, the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation held gatherings to present gifts to 1,400 worker families in hardship who had been unable to return home for Tet for many years. In addition, trade union officials visited individual boarding houses and businesses to check in with laborers and give them gifts. Notably, this year marked the first time the Trade Union Year-End Meal program was held, creating a warm and meaningful atmosphere for workers to gather around a shared meal, reflect on the past year, and kindle hope for a new spring filled with aspirations.

At businesses, in recent days, thousands of workers excitedly received meaningful Tet gifts, including essential goods, presented by the grassroots Trade Union. For workers, especially those from other provinces staying in Dong Nai for Tet, each gift helps create a prosperous and meaningful Tet. These activities help spread humanitarian values, instill confidence, and motivate employees to commit long-term to the business and locality.

Entering 2026, the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation hopes that the contingent of workers and laborers will continue to promote solidarity, strive to overcome difficulties, actively work and produce, contributing to the increasingly developed, civilized, and modern Dong Nai homeland.

In addition, the Tet Reunion program was held, featuring a variety of cultural and artistic activities, a chung cake wrapping contest, spring-themed decorations, and the distribution of hundreds of Tet gifts to workers in difficult circumstances.

Of these, Dong Nai province supported 15,000 gifts from the provincial budget. The work of caring for employees during Tet will continue to be promoted at the grassroots level with the desire that all members and employees can enjoy a joyful, warm, and complete Tet.
