During the Lunar New Year (Tet) of the Horse 2026, social welfare work was well implemented by Dong Nai province and its localities, bringing practical results.
According to a report by the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee at a meeting with officials and civil servants of Party commissions and the Provincial Party Committee Office on February 23, the province and localities have done a good job of visiting policy beneficiaries who are wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, families with meritorious services to the country, and revolutionary veterans; caring for and supporting people in difficult circumstances in border communes, armed forces, and units performing duties during Tet. The province organized 10 delegations to visit and present gifts to revolutionary contributors, Vietnamese heroic mothers, and heroes of the people's armed forces.

Support activities during Tet were implemented in accordance with Decision No. 01/QD-CTN dated January 5, 2026, of the State President, with a total of 22,265 beneficiaries and a budget of nearly 6.8 billion VND (as of February 21, more than 19,100 people had been paid; some beneficiaries who returned to their hometowns for Tet have not yet received support, the province will continue making payments immediately after Tet).
Tet gifts were given in accordance with Resolution No. 26/2025/NQ-HDND dated December 10, 2025, of the Provincial People's Council, which includes 93 billion VND for people with meritorious services and social protection; 15 billion VND for disadvantaged workers; about 112 billion VND for retirees; about 101 billion VND for provincial and commune officials, civil servants, and public employees... (beneficiaries include officials, civil servants, public employees, and contracted workers of central agencies and vertical branches located in Dong Nai province; soldiers and family members working in Truong Sa (Spratly Islands); prisoners and patients). As of February 21, 90 out of 95 communes and wards in the entire province had completed the payment of support during Tet holiday; the remaining 5 communes and wards will complete the payment of support to the remaining beneficiaries when they return to the locality after Tet.
For businesses, according to reports from 1,534 businesses in the province, the highest New Year and Tet bonuses for employees in private enterprises were 840 million VND/person; the lowest was 4 million VND/person. For foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises, the highest bonus was 700 million VND/person; the lowest was 4.4 million VND/person.
