Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee attends Tet gift-giving and free health check-up and medicine distribution programme

On January 31, a program providing free medical check-ups, health consultations, medicines and Lunar New Year (Tet) gifts was held in Long Thanh, Long Phuoc and Phuoc Thai communes for war invalids, sick veterans, families of revolutionary contributors, poor households, and disadvantaged people.

In Long Phuoc commune, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Vo Tan Duc, together with Labour Hero Le Nu Thuy Duong, Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, attended the event. Representatives of several enterprises, including Tuong Long Logistics Company Limited, Binh Tay Food Joint Stock Company, and University Medical Centre HCMC, also participated in presenting gifts and encouraging families of revolutionary contributors, war invalids, sick veterans, and disadvantaged households.

At the programme, Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company presented 500 gift packages, each worth 500,000 VND, to revolutionary contributor families and disadvantaged households in Long Phuoc Commune. Binh Tay Food Joint Stock Company contributed 250 gift packages, each also worth 500,000 VND, while other benefactors provided additional support, bringing the total funding to over 1 billion VND.

On the occasion of the Tet holiday and in celebration of the success of the 14th National Party Congress, as well as the 96th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – 2026), Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company also distributes 1,500 gift packages and 100 bicycles to revolutionary contributors, poor households, disadvantaged residents, and underprivileged students in various communes across Dong Nai Province, including Nhon Trach, Binh An, Long Thanh, Long Phuoc, Phuoc Thai, Xuan Que, Cam My, and Xuan Duong.

In Long Thanh commune, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council Nguyen Huu Nguyen, along with Colonel, Professor, Doctor Nguyen Van Ba, Deputy Director of Military Hospital 175 under the Ministry of National Defence, and sponsors attended a free medical examination and Tet gift-giving programme.

Speaking at the event, Colonel, Professor, Doctor Nguyen Van Ba emphasised that the programme carried profound humanitarian significance. It also served as an opportunity for military units, particularly Military Hospital 175, to strengthen solidarity between the army and the people, especially during the Tet season. The programme not only provided healthcare services but also reflected the responsibility and compassion of military doctors who remain close to the people, understand their needs, and contribute to improving community wellbeing.

Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council Nguyen Huu Nguyen expressed gratitude to the delegation of medical staff from Military Hospital 175 and coordinating units for their support, especially for war invalids, sick veterans, revolutionary contributors, and disadvantaged residents in Long Thanh Commune. The program is an act of sharing, a precious gift that helps people alleviate difficulties and improve their lives.

Following the opening ceremony, medical teams from Military Hospital 175, the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel), and partner units provided free check-ups and medicine to more than 500 residents. They also presented 500 Tet gift packages worth 800,000 VND each, including 300,000 VND in cash and essential goods, with a total funding of around 500 million VND.

In Phuoc Thai Commune, leaders of Military Hospital 7A under Military Region 7, together with benefactors, conducted free medical examinations, distributed medicine, and presented gifts to more than 500 disadvantaged individuals and revolutionary contributor families.

These practical activities were held in celebration of the success of the 14th National Party Congress, the 96th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and the upcoming Tet holiday in Spring 2026.
