The Department of Construction, in coordination with the Department of Finance, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, local People's Committees, and relevant units, is responsible for monitoring and expediting progress on social housing projects to ensure the completion of targets assigned by the Prime Minister for 2025 and the following years. The Department is also tasked with studying and advising the Provincial People’s Committee on a list of eligible commercial housing projects permitted to fulfill their obligations through monetary payment, to be submitted by November 29, 2025.
Dong Nai Province currently has numerous commercial real estate projects underway or about to be implemented. Under the new regulations, project developers are permitted to make a monetary payment equivalent to 20% of the value of the land allocated for social housing development within the project. In cases of late payment, developers are subject to late fees in accordance with tax administration laws.
