Warm and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival for children in Dong Nai

Amid the festive spirit of the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival, on October 5, numerous localities, businesses, and tourist destinations across Dong Nai province held meaningful events to give children a joyful and heartwarming celebration.

On the morning of October 5, Binh Minh Plastics Joint Stock Company and SCG Group (Siam Cement Group), in coordination with the authorities of Phu Nghia commune, Dong Nai province, and partner enterprises from other provinces, organized the “Green Mid-Autumn Festival Day 2025” program.

The event drew more than 1,600 children, accompanied by their parents, commune leaders, and sponsors, creating a lively and vibrant festive atmosphere.

At the festival, children participated in many meaningful activities, including stage performances about environmental protection featuring Sister Hang Nga, Uncle Cuoi, and adorable animals; movement games; the “Exchange waste for school supplies” program; and art performances and lion-dragon dances to welcome the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The “Green Mid-Autumn Festival Day 2025” not only brought complete joy to children in Phu Nghia commune but also helped foster environmental awareness, love for nature and national cultural pride among children in remote areas.

On this occasion, the organizing committee awarded 70 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to hardworking and high-achieving students from preschools, primary, and lower secondary schools in the commune. Additionally, 1,600 Mid-Autumn gifts, including school bags, mooncakes, water bottles, hats, lanterns, and sweets, were delivered directly to the children.

The total value of gifts reached 750 million VND, with Binh Minh Plastics Joint Stock Company contributing 600 million VND, and VietinBank branch 6 in Ho Chi Minh City donating 50 million VND, along with contributions from many other accompanying businesses and organizations.

Also on this occasion, the People’s Committee of Phu Nghia commune gave 150 Mid-Autumn gifts (including schoolbags, notebooks and mooncakes), each worth 300,000 VND, to disadvantaged and disabled children in the locality.

On the morning of October 5, with a free entrance policy for children under 1.4 meters tall, Buu Long Tourist Area in Tran Bien ward welcomed more than 1,000 children to the “Full Moon Festival Day” program.

A representative of Buu Long Tourist Area said that all children participating in the “Full Moon Festival Day” received free admission and were invited to join a range of completely free Mid-Autumn activities, including taking photos with funny clown mascots, receiving Mid-Autumn lanterns and balloon art, making and tasting cakes, and playing games at the small stage inside the tourist area.

This year, the Mid-Autumn Festival coincided with the weekend, providing an ideal opportunity for Buu Long Tourist Area to organize meaningful activities for children across the province, with the hope that many would enjoy a joyful and fulfilling celebration.

With its cool natural space and many fun and safe play areas, this was also an opportunity for parents to join their children in the “Full Moon Festival Day” and other outdoor activities at Buu Long Tourist Area.
