Loc Ninh: Striving to become a border urban area

As a revolutionary land and known as the "Capital of Resistance", Loc Ninh is not only steadfast and indomitable in the cause of national liberation, but today in the new era, Loc Ninh is striving, gradually concretizing the decisions from the 1st Congress of the Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030, to accelerate development.

The new look of infrastructure, changes in people's material and spiritual life, and improved quality of public services in Loc Ninh today are proof of strategic, practical decisions, and that the Party's will in harmony with people's wishes.

Many impressive changes

Although it is a border area, far from the provincial center, Loc Ninh has many advantages for development. Besides favorable and fertile land and climate conditions, Loc Ninh is also a gateway for trade, connecting with countries in the region through Hoa Lu International Border Gate and National Highway 13 to the center of the Southern key economic region - Ho Chi Minh City...

From this advantage, in recent years, Loc Ninh has known how to take advantage of its strength to " give a facelift" to the former resistance land. Specifically, in the 2020-2025 term, the Party Organization of Loc Ninh commune has led the implementation of achieving and exceeding 29 out of 30 targets and tasks. The most prominent mark is that the commune's economic growth rate is always stable, and the economic structure has shifted in the right direction. The proportion of the agricultural sector has decreased to 55%. Agricultural production aims to improve the value and quality of products. The value of industrial production and construction increases annually, accounting for 21% of the economic structure. Trade and services have developed strongly, accounting for 24%. The average income per capita of the commune is estimated to reach 95 million VND by the end of 2025.

In addition to economic development, Loc Ninh also pays special attention to the cultural and social fields. Up to now, the whole commune has 8 out of 12 schools meeting national standards; medical facilities have been upgraded, people's health care is getting better and better, and currently the locality has no poor households. The impressive figures mentioned above are an important premise for Loc Ninh to set the goal of achieving advanced new-style rural standards by the end of the term, aiming towards a model border urban area.

Building Loc Ninh into a comprehensively strong locality

Implementing the 2-level local government model, Loc Ninh commune was established on the basis of merging 3 units: Loc Ninh town, Loc Thuan commune and the old Loc Thai commune, with a total natural area of ​​7,342.39 hectares, 7,456 households and 32,213 people. With the revolutionary tradition, solidarity and unity within the Party organization, consensus among the people and the achievements gained over the past terms, Loc Ninh now possesses conditions and driving force to make a breakthrough in development.

To accelerate the locality’s steady progress in the journey of construction and development alongside the province, in the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee of Loc Ninh commune sets out 20 targets in various fields (including socio-economic development, national defense - security...). Notably, among these are 4 targets on economic development, with the goal of achieving an annual total budget revenue growth rate of 7% by the end of the term; and ensuring 100% disbursement of allocated capital for basic construction projects. The average annual growth rate of total product value is expected to reach 9.5%. Each year, the commune will coordinate, support, and mobilize the establishment of 3-5 enterprises and 3-5 OCOP products that meet 3-star standards. Loc Ninh strives to achieve the status of an advanced new-style rural commune by the end of the term. Average income per capita by 2030 will reach 135 million VND.

The road ahead remains full of difficulties and challenges, but with the aspiration to rise up, the entire Party Organization, army and people of Loc Ninh commune will promote the strength of great solidarity; mobilize and effectively use all resources, create breakthroughs for rapid and sustainable development, gradually develop urban infrastructure and transport infrastructure. The commune will promote agricultural and forestry development in the direction of commodity production associated with preserving, conserving and promoting national cultural identity; improve the quality of education and training; ensure national defense, maintain security and order... to join hands with the people nationwide in entering a new era, an era of the Vietnamese nation’s rise.
