The plan aims to effectively implement Plan No. 371-KH/TU dated August 7, 2024, issued by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and Plan No. 391/KH-UBND dated December 17, 2024, issued by the Provincial People's Committee, on organizing activities to commemorate major holidays in 2025 and to welcome Party congresses at all levels for the 2025–2030 term. Through these efforts, the plan reaffirms the stature, historical significance, and enduring legacy of the August Revolution in 1945 and the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).
The organization of commemorative activities aims to promote communication, education, and remembrance of the nation's patriotic and revolutionary traditions, the spirit of great national unity, and the pride and will for self-reliance and resilience. It also seeks to raise awareness among all segments of the population, cadres, and soldiers about the profound historical significance of the August Revolution in 1945 and the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam) under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. These efforts contribute to consolidating and strengthening public trust in the cause of national construction and defense, renewal, and international integration.
Under the theme "The indomitable spirit of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2)," the province's main commemorative activities will include propaganda and public education campaigns carried out from early August through the end of September 2025. These activities will be implemented across all levels, sectors, and mass organizations, from the provincial to the grassroots level, with a focus on improving the material and spiritual well-being of the people, particularly in former revolutionary bases, remote areas, and border regions of the province.
Live television broadcast of the special art program and fireworks display will be carried out at three locations (Provincial Square Park, Suoi Cam Lake, and Dai Phuoc Commune) at 7:00 PM on September 2, 2025.
The province will also organize a ceremony to visit the Dong Nai Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery (Long Binh Ward) on August 29, 2025, and a ceremony to visit the Dong Nai Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery combined with a ceremony to visit, mourn, and inter the remains of martyrs in Dong Tam Commune on August 27, 2025.
Groundbreaking, inauguration, and completion ceremonies for various projects will take place in Dong Nai, alongside the reception and broadcast of documentary films, and the production of reports, news, and articles. From now until the end of September 2025, a series of cultural, artistic, physical education, and sports activities will be organized to celebrate the anniversary, including the Dong Nai Provincial Culinary Festival 2025.
Notably, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to advise the committee on Dong Nai's participation in the Exhibition of Local Socio-Economic Development Achievements, held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025) at the National Exhibition and Fair Center in Hanoi, in accordance with the plan of the Steering Committee for the Exhibition of National Socio-Economic Achievements. In addition, the department is tasked with advising on Dong Nai's participation in the culinary section of the National Achievements Exhibition marking the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.
