(DN) – The Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) has completed necessary procedures and infrastructure preparations allowing toll collection on the Ben Luc–Long Thanh expressway to begin in August 2025.
The 57.8km expressway, part of the North-South expressway and a key project in the Southern economic region, runs through Tay Ninh (formerly Long An), Ho Chi Minh city, and Dong Nai.

| Ben Luc–Long Thanh expressway toll collection expected to begin in August 2025. |
In February, VEC put more than 10km of the expressway into operation, followed by another 20km in April. The entire route is expected to be fully operational by 2026.
The corporation earlier proposed a toll rate of VND2,000 per km per vehicle, with a 12% adjustment every three years.
In the first half of this year, expressways managed by VEC including Noi Bai–Lao Cai, Cau Gie–Ninh Binh, Da Nang–Quang Ngai, and HCMC–Long Thanh–Dau Giay registered nearly 37 million vehicle trips, up 9% year-on-year. Notably, both the Cau Gie–Ninh Binh and HCMC–Long Thanh–Dau Giay routes each recorded over 12 million trips.
VEC is set to begin construction on two major expressway expansions by the end of 2025, targeting the Yen Bai–Lao Cai stretch and the HCMC–Long Thanh corridor to meet rising traffic demands.
