In Dong Nai, in recent times, many enterprises have done well in occupational safety and health (OSH) and built a safe working culture, preventing occupational accidents. This helps workers feel secure in their work and contributes to the sustainable development of enterprises.
Typical examples
Nicca Vietnam Co., Ltd., located in Long Binh Industrial Park (Bien Hoa City), has been awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee for many years for its excellent work in OSH. With the motto of safety first, the company has proposed many solutions to build a safe working environment, creating habits for employees to strictly comply with occupational safety regulations during work.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang, Head of Safety, Health and Environment at the company, said that due to the company's specialization in producing auxiliary chemicals for the textile, dyeing, and garment industries, occupational safety is prioritized. This includes establishing standards for providing personal protective equipment to employees; building safety rules and procedures, and organizing annual training for employees. In addition, the company focuses on improving safety techniques and working conditions for employees.
Building a culture of occupational safety in enterprises is increasingly urgent and has become a widespread movement, serving as a criterion for the Provincial People's Committee and all levels and sectors to evaluate and reward annually.
In addition, the company has many propaganda activities, inviting experts to train all employees on occupational safety, occupational diseases, and fire prevention and control, ensuring that everyone can respond promptly in case of incidents. The enterprise focuses on implementing good policies for employees, including annual health check-ups and treatment of occupational diseases (if any arise) for those working in hazardous environments.
CSGT Vietnam Metal JSC (Trang Bom district) is also a typical example of good occupational safety practices. Recently, this enterprise was selected to share experiences at the 2025 Dialogue Conference with Enterprises on OSH and the process of receiving and resolving administrative procedures organized by the Department of Home Affairs. This enterprise always prioritizes building an OSH culture to implement solutions at the workplace. Environmental monitoring is also strictly complied with annually.
Hoang Ngoc Phuong Thao, Deputy Director of the company, said that to build a culture of occupational safety, every officer and employee during their shift must be responsible for managing and operating equipment safely and performing tasks according to standard regulations. The company's production departments strictly comply with operating procedures and labor protection work. Thanks to this, in recent years, the company has not had any occupational accidents, and its production and business activities have been effective.
Ensuring a safe working environment
Nguyen Trung Hau, Deputy Head of the Technical and Energy Management Department, Department of Industry and Trade, said that inspections of OSH in enterprises in the province show that some enterprises strictly comply with OSH regulations. Specifically, they build action programs on OSH and fire prevention and control; promote propaganda through internal loudspeakers, hang banners and slogans at gates and workshops for employees to know and comply with. In addition, they organize full training on safe working techniques and skills for target groups that need training according to regulations.
A typical example is Changshin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Vinh Cuu district), to ensure occupational safety, the enterprise has assigned 31 full-time safety and labor officers. The enterprise has also improved working conditions and machinery, and effectively provided healthcare for its employees. In addition, the enterprise has established occupational safety regulations, machine and equipment operating procedures, and placed danger warning signs at the workplace. From 2024 until the inspection date, the enterprise has not experienced any occupational accidents.
At the Launching Ceremony of the Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health in 2025, a representative from the Department of Home Affairs emphasized that it is essential for enterprises to prioritize occupational safety and strengthen communication to raise employees' awareness and responsibility in occupational safety and health. Enterprises need to inspect, train, and instruct on accident prevention; fire prevention and control; build a safety-conscious work ethic; and establish rules and standards of conduct within the enterprise. At the same time, they should promote the Production Labor Emulation Movement, encourage initiatives, and technical improvements linked to occupational safety.
