Businesses boost labor recruitment

(ĐN)- The labor market is becoming more dynamic as many businesses expand production and increase labor recruitment, especially for unskilled workers.

Longwell (Dau Giay Industrial Park) is looking to hire 2,000 workers with salaries starting from 7.5 million VND. Pou Phong (Trang Bom) needs 3,500 workers. Changshin Vietnam is recruiting 2,500 employees. Other companies such as Topband, Dong Phu Cuong, and Chang Dae Vina are also hiring hundreds to thousands of workers. While labor demand is high, recruitment is challenging due to a shortage of skilled workers or unstable employment trends.

Many businesses are offering Tet bonuses ranging from one to over two months' salary and attractive benefits to retain employees. Several companies are also working with the Dong Nai Employment Service Center to organize job fairs and connect job seekers with businesses.

After Tet, there is often a labor shortage as workers change jobs or return to their hometowns, creating difficulties for businesses, especially in the garment and footwear industries. A lack of skilled workers may slow down order fulfillment.

The job fair in December 2024 saw a demand for unskilled labor at 92%, but only 5.7% of applications were received, highlighting the gap between labor demand and actual recruitment success.
