(ĐN)- On August 29, Major General Nguyen Van Nam, Commander of HCM city High Command, and Colonel Vu Van Dien, Head of Dong Nai provincial Military Headquarters, visited and handed over gratitude houses to two families in Xuan Thien and Quang Trung communes in Thong Nhat district.
Two houses are built at a total cost of VND210 million. Of the total, the HCM city High Command donated VND120 million, local authorities supported VND46 million, the remaining were contributed by the families.
This is one of activities to mark the 75th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).
According to plan, four more gratitude houses totaling VND320 million will be presented to needy people in Thong Nhat district since now until the end of this year.
