(ĐN)- The heavy rainfall and whirlwinds on June 20 caused damage to property and crops in Phu Ngoc commune, Dinh Quan district, according to the communal People’s Committee.
The heavy rainfall along with strong whirlwinds occurred at about 2a.m, blowing off the roofs of 16 houses in the commune.
The whirlwinds also broke electricity poles and lines, making a power cut on large scale, while many orchards were also damaged by the severe weather.
Local authorities have immediately sent forces to the spots to address consequences and help affected families to restore lives and production.
