(ĐN) - Dong Nai Department of Construction on January 10 organized a conference to review its activities in 2019 and raise orientations for 2020.
According to the report, production value of the construction sector reached approximately VND29 trillion in 2019, up 8.3 percent year-on-year.
Last year, the sector also completed and put into use 140 social houses, surpassing the yearly estimate. Nearly 89 percent of the province’s population accessed to clean water by the end of 2019.
The sector targets to put into use 456 social houses and supply clean water meeting the Health Ministry’s standards to over 90 percent of urban residents in 2020.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh of the provincial People’s Committee asked the department to pay attention to the development of social housing projects and homes for low-income earners while enhancing urban management and creating favorable conditions for construction businesses.
