(ĐN)- Dong Nai Red Cross Association and its agencies raised over VND10.6 billion to help more than 52,000 needy people during Humanitarian Month (May 1-31), said Chairwoman Do Thi Phuoc Thien.
Particularly, the association presented gifts to disadvantaged people and studious poor students, visited and offered donations to needy patients who are being treated at hospitals, provided free medical check-ups and medicines to underprivileged residents, ethnic minority people and policy families inside and outside the province.
Moreover, the association also built and handed over bridges and charity houses, provided free meals and health insurance cards to poor patients, upgraded rural traffic roads.
