(ĐN)-Dong Nai provincial Council on Labor Safety and Hygiene on Friday held a dialogue to share experience in the management of labor safety and hygiene, drawing 80 participants across the province.
Participants discussed measures to reduce work accidents which occurred in construction, building materials production, metallurgical engineering, and other fields. They also shared experience in monitoring, guiding and mobilizing grassroots trade unions, employers and employees to comply with regulations on labor safety and hygiene in enterprises.
As known, in the last five months, Dong Nai Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs worked with other related department and agencies to conduct inspections on labor safety and hygiene at 54 enterprises and suggested to give administrative fine of a total VND130 million to 6 enterprises. In this period, 8 occupational accidents occurred at local businesses, taking the lives of 8 laborers.
In May 2019, the provincial Labor Federation also visited and presented gifts worth VND3 million each to 10 laborers injured by occupational accidents.
