(ĐN)- Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations on May 2 held a conference in an effort to beef up cooperation between the province and foreign non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
At the conference, Chairwoman Bui Ngoc Thanh of the DUFO said that Dong Nai benefited from 41 programmes and projects with more than US$3.3 million disbursed by 33 foreign NGOs in 2018.
The contributors have helped the province develop socio-economic infrastructure, health care, education, vocational training, among others.
At the ceremony, Saigon Children’s Charity signed an agreement to donate nearly US$440,000 for local needy children in the period of 2019-2023.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Hoa Hiep thanked foreign NGOs for their donations to local people and hoped the organizations to continue and expand their programmes and projects in Dong Nai.
