At the meeting, Vu Hong Thanh, head of the NA Economic Committee and the leader of the team, raised multiple questions related to the use and management of land in Bien Hoa City, including the Phuoc Tan industrial cluster covering 72 hectares.
Also, Thanh asked the government to clarify the responsibilities of individuals and organizations involved in the illegal construction of these factories. In addition, he questioned the decision by water and power agencies to supply water and electricity to the illegal factories for their operations.
Vo Van Chanh, vice chairman of Dong Nai Province, confirmed the illegal construction of these factories but said that the demolition of 48 illegal factories owned by the firms would face many difficulties. As such, the province will propose solutions to the prime minister and seek guidance.
Chanh also said that the province will take action against individuals and organizations involved in the illegal construction.
