(ĐN) - Cam My district’s Fatherland Front Committee in the first nine months of this year raised more than VND10 billion to care for poor people and policy families.
Particularly, the committee built 59 charity houses, handed over 100 breeding cows to poor and near-poor families, awarded more than 2,000 scholarships, 5,639 gifts, 60 bicycles and 33 health insurance cards to studious poor students, presented 20 saving books to war-invalids.
In this period, the committee also mobilized over VND2 billion to the district’s Fund for the Poor.
