Around 200 employees from Nike Vietnam recently partook in extracurricular activities together with school children at Nguyen Trai Primary School in Trang Bom District, Dong Nai Province on the occasion of Nike Community Day.
Since its inception in 2011, Nike Vietnam Community Day has become one of the company’s most important events to underscore its strong corporate social responsibility commitment to the local community.
During the event, volunteers joined hands to carry out extensive renovations to the school by repainting classrooms, fixing broken equipment, upgrading the water supply system and creating a healthy playground for students to get involved in sporting activities.
Additionally, the school received the gift donation from Nike Vietnam, including sport equipment and used computers to facilitate student’s learning and extracurricular activities.
Mike Shepard, general manager of Nike Vietnam, said at the event that all Nike Vietnam employees wanted to engage in social activities to provide much-needed help for disadvantaged children.
