Speaking at the event, Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong of the provincial Party Committee highly praised efforts made by the association over the past term and hoped that local veterans would continue their best to help each other to develop production, contributing to the province's socio – economic development.

The congress agreed to adopt action plans and elected an 27 member executive board for the 2017-2022 tenure.
Colonel Duong Hoa Hiep was re-elected as the association’s President.
