(ĐN)- On December 1, Dong Nai Police Department announced State President’s decision to grant amnesty to 42 prisoners at prisons in the province.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Police Department Bui Huu Danh hoped that 42 recipients to continue striving hard and obey laws to reintegrate into the community, becoming useful persons for their families and society.
He also attributed the outcomes to the effective rehabilitation work in prison as well as the assistance of local authorities and communities to former offenders in re-integrating into society.
The clemency not only reflects the Government’s leniency policy, but also encourages prisoners to reform themselves so that they can return to society sooner.
On this occasion, Dong Nai's Entrepreneurs Fund for Public Security provided preferential loans totaling VND80 million to three released prisoners to help them stabilize their lives.
